Spreadsheet Pilot – Privacy Policy

Spreadsheet Pilot is a Google Workspace Add-on designed to enhance your experience in Google Sheets by enabling advanced sorting, filtering, and grouping functionalities.

We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring transparency in how we handle your data.

1. Information We Access

Spreadsheet Pilot only accesses Google Sheets data that you explicitly authorize through the Google OAuth consent process. Specifically, we may access:

  • Spreadsheet metadata (e.g., sheet names, structure)

  • Cell content (to apply sorting, filtering, and serial number logic)

  • Column headers

We do not access any other Google user data outside the authorized spreadsheet(s).

2. How We Use Your Information

We only use your data to deliver the requested spreadsheet functionalities within the Google Sheets environment. This includes:

  • Sorting multiple columns

  • Filtering rows by keyword or cell content

  • Assigning serial numbers based on column values

All processing happens locally within your Google Sheet.
We do not transfer, store, or share your data with any external servers or services.

3. Data Storage and Sharing

Spreadsheet Pilot does not:

  • Store your Google user data on external servers

  • Share your data with third parties

  • Use your data for advertising or analytics

  • Sell your data under any circumstance

4. Compliance with Google’s Limited Use Policy

Spreadsheet Pilot’s use of Google user data complies with Google’s Limited Use requirements, including:

  • Only accessing information necessary to provide features directly to the user

  • Never transferring data to third parties

  • Not using data for unauthorized purposes such as profiling or advertising

5. Security Measures

We use Google’s secure OAuth 2.0 protocol for all user authentication and authorization. Access to your data is read-only and limited to the scope required for spreadsheet operations. No credentials or data are stored.

6. Children’s Privacy

Spreadsheet Pilot is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect any personal data from minors.

7. Data Retention and Deletion

Spreadsheet Pilot does not retain any Google user data. All data processing occurs within the user’s active Google Sheets session and is never stored on external servers or databases.

Since we do not store your data, there is no data to delete. Once you revoke access or uninstall the add-on, our application no longer has any access to your Google Sheets content.

You can manage app access at any time via your Google Account Permissions.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will post the updated policy on this page and update the “Last Updated” date.
